“Because I said so” is a cop out. I’d have complained about that too, but not out loud.

If these kids are THIS dangerous when they’re only 8 or 9, they’re going to be hell when they get to be teenagers. Nothing is more indefatigable than an argumentative teen-ager.

Serve them their next meal or snack on unwashed plates from the previous meal.

Mom wanted a dishwasher. Dad’s reply, “I made you three of them”. Wise man, but I like having a dishwasher, though some things are definitely washed by hand.

The funny thing is she makes some good points…

“Because I’m bigger than you are, and I said so.” … Dad.

As long as I am paying the bills, I DO get to say so. This is not a commune…

Perhaps if you told them their next meal will served on those same plates they’ll get the why.
