Looks like Rick, Brenda and Miss Elva took the day off. Let’s see who’s left. The baby store people have the latest dope. Skeezix will be seeing that kind of action closeup soon enough. Avery will have as much fun trying to build his multi parts multi year car as Mr. Cash did. Mr. Pert sure is dangling one sweet plum.

This one is the ALLEY CATS OF GASOLINE ALLEY Facebook page (Our group). Answer some very simple questions if you want to join. Good to see that Sarge and Hack are on the up and up again.
I actually found them all on Google maps. Most are “unincorporated communities” or “census designated areas” but the only one that isn’t around now is Nothing AZ, described on Google Maps as a ghost town.
I’ve been to Nothing, AZ. It’s a wide spot in the road, marked by an old restaurant sign. At the beginning of the highway that leads to it, is a small town called Nowhere AZ.
Tightsqueeze, VA is about an hour and a half from me. Per Wikipedia… and yep, this is the story I’ve heard for years, "The community of Tightsqueeze got its name due to the construction of two buildings close to a road that connected Chatham and Danville during the 19th century. In 1870, W. H. Colbert built his general store close enough to the road that women could go straight from their carriages to the store without getting muddy or dusty.
Soon, another merchant, Isaiah Giles, built a blacksmith-wheelwright shop directly across the road from the general store. It, too, was on the road’s edge. Due to the closeness of the two buildings, buggies and wagons had to slow down as they passed between the two buildings. Thus, individuals were told to slow down for the “tight squeeze” where the two stores were located."
The locals threw a fit when the powers that be changed the name. Tightsqueeze was restored and remains today.
Bird in Hand, PA is just west of Intercourse and south of Blue Ball. Paradise is a little farther south. These Pennsylvania towns are all in the heart of Amish (Pennsylvania Dutch) country.

Well, I found Bacon Level, Alabama on Google maps at least. It’s on the Eastern border near La Grange, GA. (Railfans are familiar with La Grange.)

Bugtussle (also shown as Bug Tussle) was the fictitious Tennessee hometown of the Clampetts from the Beverly Hillbillies!

One of my favorites was Tightwad, Missouri, down in the Ozarks. There is also Rackett, Missouri. No idea of these places still exist or not.
