One summer while in grad school I worked for an electronics test group on Fort Huachuca. They had a subset of testers whose role was to introduce glitches to find vulnerabilities in articles being tested. They embodied the adage, “You can’t make it idiot proof because idiots are so ingenious.” They were like Dennis, in that they appeared to be intrusive, almost to the point of being destructive, but just doing their job.

Bugs in the program? He’ll Ketchum before they go out the door. (Sorry, Scott & John…)

He’ll destroy the hardware before he ever figures out the apps.

This is clearly pre-tv Dennis the Menace. He became just a cute/annoying kid next door when the show came out, and stayed that way ever since.
The clue is the eyebrows.
