I don’t think so. One guy, after decades of scamming Americans, some sent a total of a quarter of a billion $ for a non-existent “fight fraud” fund. The irony alone is amazing.

“No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.” (credit Mayer, who slightly paraphrased Mencken)

How could anyone doubt a man with a face like Dr. Mel’s?

For some reason, even though she is not in today’s toon, I am reminded of Pam — twice!

Reminds me of those cards that say something like this on both sides:

“How to keep an idiot occupied

    (Turn card over)"

There is a fundamental rule of bad business that it is immoral to allow stupid people to keep their money.

Sign me up. Should I give you my credit card number or are you wanting payment in Apple Gift Cards?

“Eventually” is the operative word here. Until then, Dr Mel’s scam is safe.

countless sums are spent here in japan on signs posted in post offices and everywhere else to alert the foolish to whatever scams are being perpetrated at the moment, but it’s just throwing good money after bad, ’cause the foolish are, after all, foolish. the latest example involves a guy who gave a scammer 8 million yen when told it would buy him an option for hundreds of millions of yen. i need to get into another profession…
