This woman is a ditz.

As for the period talk, I grew up in the 1970s so we got a cute little booklet and had to watch a movie about it in the gym. I don’t remember any talks from a doctor.

I guess such sensitive talk is not really appro— PERIOD-PERIOD-PERIOD-PERIOD-PERIOD-PERIOD! Blood and cramps and bloating and tampons and pads and cycles and menstruation! PERIODS!

There. That wasn’t so bad. Next time, let’s chat about healthy bowel habits.

I don’t know what to make of this doctor.

Yes no period talk indeed good luck heart

Students learning to become a doctor/nurse should be given a test on how they would act in different situations. This is just childish.

No x-rays? This doc is a quack. It’s very easy to misdiagnose hairline fractures as sprained ankles.

This is a clumsy way to show us that Heart is getting older. This plot is awkward and clumsy as Heart has been with that foot.

So far I haven’t criticized any of the arcs, since the change over, but this one shows a lack of research about what the school nurse should have done, and there is absolutely no back story about why Heart is so embarassed. Then that part about the stairs and no friend in sight to help to carry her stuff upstairs, so she could use the hand rail at least…

I’m not a female and this doctor is making me feel uneasy

So when does she learn about her period?

Would it have been less jarring if it had been phrased, “See? No talk from me, period.”?
