This is painful … many of you know that I had two wonderful daughters and lost them both. There are no guarantees on lifelong! (The “baby” was 26 and the older one was 33.)

I have a daughter who is a copy of my mother. She has all the annoying qualities. I didn’t like my mother.

I have two sons. God knew what he was doing. Given the way I spoiled my nieces and my granddaughters they would have been insufferable. Come to think of it, I also spoiled my nephews. I guess I’m into spoiling other people’s children.

2022 is not 1922. Families seldom have close ties. Turmoil, troubles and trials. Most just shack up with trouble and sorrow. Marriage like a rental unit. Children for 3, 4 or 5 different men. Don’t know who father is and don’t care. Social Services and Welfare checks for the young who won’t work and Housing for them to live in to party on and free medical. Old folks wish they had it so good. Elderly, Worked all their life and struggling to make it while youth waste it. More and more younger professional working class are choosing not to have children – to avoid future problems their own parents suffered with.

That’s what Nikki Whitehead thought too when she bore twin daughters.

Some of us have to find that life long friendship in other people. Not all moms are wonderful loving people who treat you kindly.

My Mom and sister were my best friends growing up but that changed recently and now I hardly hear from either one, sister is in a nursing home 1 1/2 hours away and Mom lives in Alaska while I live in PA, neither one calls me anymore nor answers my emails. I’m just glad that I have my Dad, he lives in apartment above mine and comes down everyday to check in with me and does so much for me that I can’t do myself because of my disabilities. Ok, now I’m crying and feeling so sad and so lonely.
