I WANT that a lot of this crap didn’t happen. I’m pretty sure that we NEED it too. But neither option is going to change things until we put our collective shoulders to the wheel and start pushing. In the same damn’ direction!
You can have anything if you throw enough money at it, and at the people who can make it happen. The NRA supporting the GOP have made that painfully, or is that deadly clear.
I would have thought a whole pile of Kalashnikovs would’t have done the allosaurs much good – I simply wouldn’t have liked to live when they were around, firearms or not!
Once again, guns are not the problem. No one wants to look at how we got to this state. We (Americans) used to respect each other, were supportive of our country and were God fearing even if they didn’t believe. Now we’re Godless, less than patriotic and think it’s a good thing to kill babies, which also reduces our overall value of life. Mental health issues are at an all time high but that never seems to come into play in this discussion. We’ve always had guns, but mass shootings were rare. What happened? Address that question.
Why stop with AR-15 and other semi-automatic, military-grade weapons? Let’s let people own flamethrowers and RPGs. After all, I have a right to self-protection. Too much is never enough. We need personal arms races.
Criminals and Crazies. First take all their guns away BEFORE you come for mine(who’ve never shot anyone). But then who determines ‘crazy’? Only the courts can do it now and they just turn the C&C’s back out on us now.
Need- security and credible self defense from a government that won’t protect us and seeks to oppress us.
Want- a utopian society that leftists think they can create if only the approved police state has guns and the citizens have no means of defending themselves.
Really, really, really odd how y’all in the T*rd Reich completely, totally ignore each and every one of the gun laws in the vast majority of the rest of the industrialized world (as opposed to the third world the US is rapidly becoming) that drastically reduce the number of mass shootings, gun violence in general, and suicides as well, and golly gee! yet still allow hunters and sports people to own firearms. Of course these laws do require responsible ownership, proper gun safety education and proficiency training, proper safe, secure, and separate storage of both firearms and ammunition, background checks, taxes and fees, interviews, a mental health evaluation, and a regular re-evaluation and inspection of same. It’s the responsibility part that ticks off all y’all in the gun industry, the lobbyists, and especially the ILA branch of the NRA. Y’all really do stand to lose a crap lot of coin if that would happen here.
I doubt dinosaurs had the mental capacity to figure out how to use the weapons depicted in this strip. However, if they did and if they existed in modern times, who’s to say they might not have met their end with the help of such weapons?
The real reason for the 2nd amendment and gun ownership is to prevent a government from becoming tyrannical. I hope we don’t need to do this, but it is best to be prepared.

The first T-Rex wished for a hand grenade. But with his short arms, it didn’t end up well.

I know those are supposed to be guns, but in the 8th panel it almost looks like the dinosaur is holding an oboe.

The dinosaurs died because a meteor hit the Earth. Some people don’t want to acknowledge it because then it might happen again to us someday.

Thankfully, we don’t always get what we want (or think we need) or wish for. Sadly, sometimes we do (and it’s not what we “need”).

As long a Leftist domination of individual Liberty is in the want well, guns will be in the need well.
