Just clean out the details. “I saw my doctor today and she gave me some bad news. It looks like I’ll be changing my life style at least until things are back to normal. And the copay was HORRENDOUS”
I think Mrs. Olsen and Frazz are both right and wrong here. Frazz is reacting but not over-reacting (although from her hypersensitive perspective, she may view any reaction as too much). And Frazz’s statement at the end is baloney.
Not surprising, given she is well into the age of adjustment – what used to be called The Golden Years. If we are lucky, we get there in decent shape to handle the changes.

Is the Frazz comic strip about to dabble in real-life tragedies?

If people didn’t react she would complain about them not reacting or overreacting lol.

This is the first time I have noticed her wearing suspenders. How does that relate to a new illness?

Never tell people your problems. 80% don’t care, 19% sympathize, and 1% are glad it’s happening to you.

In the Frazzverse, nobody ever said, “Don’t fire till you see the whites of their eyes.”

Just picked up a ‘scrip’ from mine. Cost $3.87. If not for my insurance, it would have been 87 bucks!
