That’s really sweet of Miles

It’s pretty clear that Kevin’s family is not very well off. He doesn’t want Miles to feel bad for him and loan him his jacket.

he could always draw a tie on the shirt. School picture day is a scam anyway. Just a way to get parents to pay for picture prints.

Doesn’t his sister go to the same school? Shouldn’t she be at the bus stop?

Are the comics being printed in newspapers following exactly what is being posted here on GC since the reboot? There was so much excellent world building that was present in the original strips that is missed with these “remix” strips.

At my university, on yearbook-photograph day, a dozen architecture students took turns wearing the same plaid shirt for their pictures. Flip through that yearbook and you get a strange sense of déjà vu.

I feel for both of them here. Miles genuinely /wants/ to help, and realizing that sometimes the right thing to do is just shut up and drop it is not intuitive at all.
