Earl will be lucky if he gets the short end of a 60/40 split.

I wonder – 25 years later, what are those Bennie Babies now worth? I suspect less than 30 grand.

It’ll be interesting to see how Alex handles this situation.

After all, she’s smarter than those two crooks combined!!

Maybe Earl will fall in love with her (when he finds out she’s a girl), or maybe the Beanie Babies bubble will burst before he and his old man can collect the “finder’s fee”.

Not seen this one, but called the ‘finders fee’ scam yesterday… I know how Duke thinks… spent my working life with teenager wannabe Yardie gang members.

Duke looks super-relaxed. The dry air and beautiful vistas are good for him. Won’t last long thou.

Of course. Duke deserves his 60%. You know, just “wetting his beak”.

Small newspaper article we may have missed.

Governor of Colorado signed a decree saying criminal convictions in other states won’t keep you from being hired in the legal Colorado marijuana trade.

Zipper and Zonker can now expand.

So my guess is that Alex is going to get them back and Duke will look like a fool.

If Alex defaced the things by writing her name on them in indelible ink – they are worthless because of it. NO resale or collectible value. Worth? $0.00.

You don’t get a finder’s fee for stolen prproperty. At best you’re out whatever you paid for it. At worst you get arrested for possessing stolen property. Good luck, Uncle Duke.

I have a box full of beanie babies (my daughters loved them). I am going to spread them all over the dashboard of my car and see what happens.

    A couple of questions here:

    (1) Why didn’t Duke say “I used to know a guy named Doonesbury.”?

    (2) Where on a Beanie Baby is there enuf room to write both a name and a phone number?

That $30k collection back then is probably worth $30 now.

Wouldn’t writing one’s name, address and phone number on the Beanie Babies greatly decrease their value, even if it’s only on the labels?

Wouldn’t writing anything on the tags detract from the value? You wouldn’t care if you had no intention of ever selling them, but then why cry about losing $30K worth of stuff?

Earl you should know by now never let Duke know what you are up to. Then you can have all the action.
