Garfield, you’re always bored. Except when the lasagna comes out of the oven. Or when the pizza is delivered. Or when Jon brings home donuts. Or…Well, you get the idea.
If you’re bored this early on Monday morning, just wait to see all the insipid work of drudgery you’ll be assigned this morning when you return to the office.
I feel this way sometimes. Usually, I never take a break from the pulpit. But, lately, I’ve been cutting back to a vesper service of 25-30 minutes. We do just the RCL verses, comments on them and prayers. I could really get used to this.

The secret is that Garfield is actually doing something about his boredom and it is plain view.

Since it’s Monday, doing nothing does seem like the best course.

Whatever happened to those strips where Garfield would get hit in the face with pies?
Goat from PBS about 2 years ago
Probably best to do nothing and let Monday pass without an incident.

Garfield is thinking small because he’s bored, or it’s the other way around.
