Those beautiful night skies…I wish I lived somewhere I could see the stars. Thank goodness for high-res images from an amazing telescope. Worth the wait (and the delays).
I have always loved Bea’s question and subsequent answer to herself. I work with the public, and I frequently remind myself of it when making small talk. :)
I posted this last night and now for the next day crew….new photos of BCN real life clowder. Love the cats coat colors especially on top of the whimsical duvet.
Trevor and Beatrix have such a great friendship. Not so long ago she was yelling at people for scaring him with fireworks. However, rude as it was, I still like the other cats’ assertion that dogs are shapeshifters.
My inlaws had a dog who got into the stuff under the Christmas tree and ate an entire lb of white Lindt truffles, wrappers and all. The yard was quite colorful for a few days. I think she was ok mostly because it was white chocolate which is really not much cocoa at all.
The important point here is that you do not owe people an explanation for anything in your personal life, especially your feelings. Some will ask. Some will be embarrassed by asking. The basic flaw in such questions is the assumption that there are answers, simple answers, effable answers and that you know those answers.
If you respond to such questions, too many will turn it into a “conversation” – either coaching, reproaching or debating. Sorry, but relatives are not an exception.
I consider this a “cat” philosophy that applies to humans.

… Peep … Lightning Bug … Tiny Kitten Tail … Trevor’s Hat … are these the astral bodies that form the constellation Canis Major?

I have a strong sense of Deja vous, like I’ve seen this before. Is this comic a repeat or have I been time traveling in my sleep (again)?

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Previously
Thomios: Hello, are you me?
And now, the continuation of Meanwhile, Back on Rhode Island (The Nile)
Tommy: Not exactly. I’m Tommy, from 21st century America. Say, would you be my ancestor Thomios?
Thomios: Probably. I am Thomios, and I love your shirt, Tommy.
Tommy: You are a family legend. To this day your kibble pie recipe is renowned. I still make it for my family and friends.
Thomios: How is it that you’re here?
Tommy: I was picking flowers with Beatrix, who probably is your descendant, Beatrixia. Then I found myself here in what must be Ancient Egypt.
Beatrixia: I’ll bet that flower is a space-time anemone. They do have time traveling properties.
Tommy: How do I get back to my own time?
Bea: We’ll find the Royal Procurers. They’ll know what to do.
Thomios: Meanwhile I have a large kibble banquet to prepare. Care to lend a paw?
Tommy: You got it!

Chocolate gives dogs explosive diarrhea. A large amount could kill a dog.

I love the evening stars, the peep toads and the lightning bugs. They remind me of when I was a child 50 years ago and lived in the country.
