What did the third graders ever do to Heart?

Bake sales are great. Mom does all the work and you get all the glory.

Okay now i’m excited. It’s the first play they’ve done I actually know the plot of without looking it up as i’ve seen the film multiple times and i’ts soundtrack lives free in my head cause I GOTTA LOTTA LIVIN TO DOOOOOO. Telephone Hour is also dope. Related to this i’ve noticed Steenz has started to , with last years summer storylines go more for “whatever timeline fits the strip” versus strongly adhering to the timing of the real world. While it was a bit confusing with the secret garden thing (I.e. having the play stretch over two school years even acounting for this being some sort of weird time thing like all comic strips), otherwise it’s been pretty great like the overlapping summer storylines or now us getting bye bye biridie bakesales early since, likely this whole play and the fundriasing for it will stretch past august. It’s fine to just let storylines stretch and breathe out like Webcomics do. (As long as it’s not into infinity mind you, but Steenz has been pretty good at pacing her arcs and slowly building up her ships)

I love Heart’s confidence in herself.

She had several semi-successful businesses, which is why she knows plenty about money. Just wanted to put that finance tip together in 1 statement.

I seem to recall Heart starting a babysitting business and quickly shutting it down.

Had a bit of an advantage doing it in the 1970s – parents still had suitable clothes poked around the house.

But if a 150K population like Fort Collins, CO has a retro clothing store, Philly probably has several that might loan them the clothes in return for free advertising, or community theater groups.
