The little birdie learning the nuances of mother gravity.

I would have liked to see Woodstock in more strips on his own or without Snoopy. I particularly adored the strips in which he made a playground of Schroeder’s musical scores. It was so funny to see Schroeder interacting with little Woodstock.

That’s what happens when you’re a swinger, Woodstock!

My brother did something like that once; swung the swing so hard it went all the way over!

As someone who spent many hours of my youth trying to swing over the bar I can testify that the swing does its best to throw you out as you come close to the goal.

And now, Woodstock has a “Pee-Wee Herman” moment…“I meant to do that!”

At least he landed in his nest where he can recoup.

Woodstock got carried away with his swinging!

You got off easy, Woodstock. Don’t push it!

That was always the goal when I was a kid.
