Reminds me of an old friend of mine who used to do his own carburetor rebuilds back in the 70s on a 1950s car, always had at least one or two small pieces left over…yet somehow the car continued to run fairly well. RIP, Sparky.
Reminds me of the fun you can have with someone who is working on fixing a device. When they’re not looking put a capacitor or resistor on the bench and watch when they are closing it up.
