Do any women in new housing subdivisions even still own clotheslines and clothespins? It was a pleasant feature of my youth to see and hear sheets and clothes flapping in the breeze. And I enjoyed helping my mother with the chore.
I recall a neighborhood friend riding his bike across the backyards once at dusk and getting literally “clotheslined” when the line caught him under the nose and pulled him off his bike. Left a nice mark under his nose for a few days.

Gotta be an oldie, otherwise he’d be using a cell phone and she would be draping the laundry all over him.

This was my mother-in-law. If you stood still long enough, she would try to dust you.

Wow. How does he know? It’s amazing. She didn’t even say a thing to him. It’s like he and his wife are in sync – like they’re of one mind. Wow.

It looks like he is already “helping”. He must have been on the phone for quite a while.
