The only ones keeping the price of fuel high are the oil companies.

Varvel again strikes a blow for dependence on oil.

EVs are going to get awfully expensive (as if they’re not already) if China, in retaliation for Nancy’s Taiwan visit, cuts off our access to the metals required to build such cars. How’s that going to affect Joe and Pete’s New Green Deal?

By all means – let’s continue to be held hostage to the Middle East, Russia and greedy western oil producers while we continue to ruin our climate with pollution. After all, it won’t affect US all that much in our lifetimes. (Most older Americans could stand to lose a few pounds anyway if food gets even more expensive and scarce.)

Oddly enough, a suggestion was made years ago that we might push up the price of gasoline so as to make more people buy EV’s. It was a crazy idea then, but now we have high gas prices and more people are buying EV’s. As gas prices are beginning to drop, though their drop will be slower than their raise, the fear of another gas hike may still act as an incentive for the EV purchase. It’s too bad that EV purchases can’t be because of the EV’s inherent improvement over their ICE counterpart. As range in increased, prices lowered, battery charging time decreased, and charging stations increased, we will less naysayers out there condemning the EV vehicle.

Good one! Dr. Evil. The more regulations and Biden adds new ones almost every week, causes gas to rise. Biden has created more rules than Obama in eight years. How can anyone run a business that way? Atlas Shrugged. \https://news.bloomberglaw.com/environment-and-energy/how-biden-has-made-policy-with-short-term-costly-rules-charts

Meanwhile “Our Government” is sending our fuel over to China. China who threatens Nancy Pelosi, China who is our enemy, China who "gave us " COVID, China who Hunter and Joe’s Brother (and secretly “The Big Guy” Joe Biden) along with other politicians have a crooked money organization.

prices are set by supply and demand. when the gov cuts supply, prices increase. When gov cuts supply again, prices rise again. When gov cuts supply more, gov tells the people to buy electric cars because electricity is sucked out of the air for free.

Once candidate Obama mildly suggested that keeping one’s tires properly inflated would be a good start on improving fuel economy. This automatically provoked peals of scornful laughter about typical libtard fantasies, until the AAA mildly pointed out how many hundreds of thousands barrels of oil are wasted due to underinflated tires in the US.

If everyone were able to switch to electric cars tomorrow, that would be great…. Unfortunately, the electrical grid is nowhere near able to handle the increased load.
