I’d like one of those as well.

I like to say that my needs are few, but specific.

Those complex tastes get you every time.

When we take time for self-examination, most of us fit that profile.

I hope that it is only the fantasy car that is nuclear powered and not the missiles. However, as it is another of Calvin’s unobtainable fantasies, it does not matter.

Calvin IS simple, otherwise he would have built such a vehicle himself—out of a cardboard box!!

I am blessed with simple tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.

There used to be a regular commentator on this site called connie_shearer. We used to reply to one another regularly and disagreed over many things but we both enjoyed this strip.

There have been no comments from connie_shearer for about three months now. They seem to have finished shortly after the time machine story arc. I hope that connie_shearer is still well and still enjoying this excellent comic strip.

Missiles with both laser guidance and heat seeking? A bit of overkill there.

As for Nuclear Cars, never got off the drawing board thank goodness.

My wife has a valid complaint about me: I am very difficult to buy gifts for. When she asks me what I want, I tell her, “I don’t need anything.” Then she says, “I didn’t ask you what you need; I asked you what you WANT.”

It usually winds up being socks or underwear.

My life must really be blessed when the closest thing to a need that I have is socks or underwear.

I like to quote an expression that I read somewhere, “True wealth is not measured by how much you have, but by how much you don’t need.”

It’s simple. Ideas are easy. Execution is hard.

No Calvin, you are over acted brain trying to destroy.

The sad reality is that, while nuclear power sounds exotic, all that is ever done with it is using the heat it gives off. Mostly to boil water on earth, in space there are some thermo electric generators operating.There ARE long standing proposals to use small nuclear explosions to propel a rocket forward. It has not yet happened.

Make sure it has the 1.21 gigawatts for re entry back into your own time!

Every tyrant is simple. Give them what they want, when they want it, and all is well.

Glad to see Hobbes is back on a regular basis. He keeps Calvin in line. Well, he does try.

Don’t understand how this person’s “handle” is allowed with the “F” word and other silly things are squelched ?

I had one of those cars last year, but it turned out to be a lemon.

Ford had a design for an actual nuclear-powered car called the Nucleon. Needless to say, it didn’t have a lot of seating room since the driver and passengers had to kept at a certain distance from the reactor. Ford never turned that design into a real thing.

Funny how Hobbes doesn’t question the “man” part.

Calvin you are a novice. How come all of us here are hooked on you for years.

A simple kid with grand visions that are simple on the surface yet complex beneath. This need s to be greatly encouraged in our young people. (Where do people this “Calvin is insane stuff??” Must have been in the house too long during 2020/21/22.)
