I saw video yesterday of a bison walking across a boardwalk at Yellowstone and he crunched a couple of boards. The next bison stepped carefully around the broken ones.

No, the elephant was in the wrong by crossing on the wrong side of the sign.. guys in the car clearly were out of the crossing zone.

42 years ago when Lion Country Safari still had elephants we stopped there on our honeymoon during a layover in Miami. We drove into the elephant area and suddenly found ourselves surrounded. They were rocking the car back and forth, twisting the outside mirrors, etc. All we could see were their trunks and kneecaps and it was terrifying! After about 2 or 3 minutes they walked off and we could see why. The feed truck had just come in behind us and it was the exact shade of orange as our rented Chevy Vega.

Why did the elephant cross the road?

Bison have fun every year killing the Lemmings: people who are too stupid to know better than get out of their cars to take videos of the Bison. HOWEVER, Bison are so big they can pretty much destroy a car, if the decide to do so. Bison trampling the tourists has been going on since the bison were introduced to the park. As we say around here: Ain’t no accountin’ fer stupid!

Elephants don’t ordinarily do that, unless they’re drunk. Unfortunately, elephants are “mean drunks”.
