I get the sense that pumpkin spice season starts on July 5th. Once Independence Day is over, the next holiday is fall.

I prefer my coffee to have a different flavor … STRONG!

Yum! Pumpkin Spice….

I’m noticing a trend in which making fun of the pumpkin spice flavor is somewhat akin to people making fun of fruitcake. I guess I’m out of the loop, because I like quite a few pumpkin spice-flavored things, and I like fruitcake.

Not that it’s the season for pumpkin spice everything, but I changed the oil in my car yesterday and put in the pumpkin spice 10w 40.

Gawds – not AGAIN! P-Spice anything is gross.

It’s not so much the pumpkin spice thing that gets to me, although I don’t want it in my coffee. It’s people who “enjoy” their coffee by walking around with it in a lidded paper cup, taking a sip every now and then, but letting most of it gradually get cold, and then throwing it out (hopefully at least in a proper trash can).

Oh well, as long as I can enjoy all of my plain black coffee while sitting down before my morning walk, the coffee walkers can do their thing.

I wish there was a chill in the air. If I had my druthers, the temperature would be upper forties to mid fifties for a good chunk of the year.

My wife started the everything pumpkin phase about 2 weeks ago. While I enjoy the occasional slice of pumpkin pie or piece of pumpkin bread, I definitely don’t want my coffee that (or any other for that matter) flavor.

The new thing this fall is apple cinnamon spice, but hot apple cider with a stick of cinnamon has been around forever.

Instead of the smell of Pumpkin Spice at home here we have the smell and ash of wildfire smoke
