With lots of bubble wrap to protect it. All off to one side, of course, not wrapped around it. The toothbrush is jammed up against the wall of the box.
But the coffee mug I ordered arrived in a small package with no padding. The mug was broken into 5 pieces. They actually demanded I return it in order to get my refund! Lesson learned.
I once ordered a broom from Amazon. Broom was 48" tall, 12" wide at the bottom, and about 2" wide.. The box it came in was 36" wide, 60" tall, and 6" wide and came with with just the broom in it rattling around..
Seems outdated. The last few years, they’ve done a massive overhaul on the over-packaging. It’s sometimes not good, but for the most part, it’s much, much better than it used to be. Part of it was getting manufactures to leave off their own boxes, but also simply reducing their own and using more sustainable materials.
And sometimes Amazon delivers a package without a box. I ordered a bag of 60-count Pill Pockets for my dog. Found them on my front porch. No box and pretty smooshed. I have yet to open them to see the state of the contents. :sigh: I guess next time, I’ll walk my you know what to Petsmart and buy them off the shelf.
Funny as this is Amazon does a remarkably good job of assigning box sizes to content. Of course they do have a limited number of box sizes and shapes and it’s necessary to have one that’s large enough for the content. So some oversizing is inevitable.

It was slightly over-boxed. Happens sometimes in Amazon fairyland.

The last few were in small boxes. I guess they are cutting back on cardboard to save money as they gave everyone a dollar raise.

Likely she held the mouse on the quantity too long. Looks about right for 1000 units. If so, she can use a fresh one three times a day.

They do tend to overpack sometimes. I have a roll of brown wrapping paper about 4 feet wide and 20 feet long that I salvaged from one box.

I have so many boxes to get into recycling that I ordered a box cutter. It came in a box 3 feet by 3 feet by 3 feet.

Never mind that, how did she manage to find a place that would sell her only one toothbrush. Huh?

Basically, meanwhile Amazon will be telling us that by some B.S. measure they are becoming carbon neutral; remember, if it’s in print, it’s true.
