Now that’s dang good customer service

Manager: what is your IQ?. Future employee: 13. Manager: you’re hired.

Seems there are a lot of people like that in stores lately. Won’t give you the time of day.

How often have we wanted to do what she did when we grocery shop?

There was a time when everything in the dollar store was $1. Why do a price check?

She should have kept walking. And people wonder why I prefer self checkout.

I must be lucky. My local store has good, friendly employees. Several I know by name.

I was hoping she was just going to walk out

Folks, they are all understaffed, overworked and under paid. Wouldn’t you be unhappy?

You can’t get that kind of warm service from a machine. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

I was a waitress in an ice cream shop in a mall up north X years ago. The woman in charge of the cashier was a piece of work. I watched as she approached the register, where a group of people were waiting to pay their bill and go back to work, then stop to clean a table. I shook my head, took care of the customers and went back to waiting tables. That place was crazy!

This very same thing happened to me while arriving at the office one day. If that person doesn’t want to say hello or good morning, then they should at least grunt in acknowledgement.

Is that checkout lady Sister Mary Elephant?

I tend to be a little snarky, in cases like this. If the clerk doesn’t even say “thank you,” I’ll just simply say something like “thank YOU, and you have a good day, too,” as I’m walking away.
