Love seeing Walt as a boy. Food production and disposal will always be job secure.

Maybe the principal needs to remember what city life was like before they had people collecting garbage.

If all the garbage collectors and all the lawyers vanished at the same time, which group would you miss first?

One-room schoolhouses had a principal’s office? Or a principal?

Betcha that mouse became a garbage collector and is now happily retired!!

So much for “freedom of choice” in American schools!!

7 year old boys back then would not be wearing long pants but knickers. If he was from a working class family I would assume trash collectors would have been an acceptable answer.

Job security! We only have one President of the US, but a great many trash collectors.

At a museum in St. Paul, MN, there was an interactive video based on a conflict between the United States and Native Americans. At one point, the screen tells the viewer about a treaty, and asks the viewer, who is in the place of representing some Native Americans, “Do you sign?” The treaty is unfavorable to Native Americans. But, when the viewer presses “No”, a message follows “You can’t go home until you sign.”
