My take is that Delray is just trying to help Marcus; as best man, he wants Nicole to feel that her groom is properly concerned with all of the details and minutiae, as she is, so as to reassure her that she is not the only one who is totally stressed out. Marcus is way too easy-going about this, which might lead her to worry that he doesn’t take the marriage seriously. Which of course he does, though.
