We’ll eliminate any visions of a burrowing creature celebration immediately; National Mole Day recognizes a special number in chemistry. Chemists and chemistry students mark the occasion each year on October 23rd. More specifically, the celebrations take place between 6:02 AM and 6:02 PM. In the U.S., the time and date are written 6:02 10/23. The time and date are derived from Avogadro’s number. Avagadro’s number is approximately 6.02×10^23. Hence, defining the number of particles (atoms or molecules) in one mole of a substance, one of the seven base SI units. A mole is a unit of measurement used in chemistry to express amounts of a chemical substance.
Looks like yesterday’s flap is behind them now and everyone has made up despite a little ongoing friction between a certain pair. Annie has redeemed herself in spades !
Re yesterday’s Annie bashing.
Though we know there will be plenty of adventure, escapades and small disasters; the warehouse will be home yet for some time to come.
To supporters and detractors alike; thanks for your kicks and rubs. Been a little extra busy yesterday so no evening look ins until turnover.
To Dean. Sorry I ‘petted’ you backward. ;-)
@Dean
Tweren’t to be funny, McGee. Annie Really put her foot innit. It’ll all work out and we’ll be back to just two bad people (cats) here.
Yay for lk’s progress with her own Annie and the two new bosom buddies.
Today’s comic is quite apropos considering quite a few of us are preparing for NaNoWriMo.org next month! Or at least we will be once we are done procrastinating with comics… ;)
My iPod is now useless because Apple’s software updates are bigger than its memory and storage. Way to go Apple. I miss taking it to the gym to listen to books on tape while I do the tread mill. According the the NC version of Birdcast, six different kinds of warblers migrated across our skies last night. No sparrows. BIrdcast is really cool. You give them your region, and it tells and shows you the birds crossing overhead at night.https://birdcast.info
Did Chesney really think he could get away with a title like that? Thankfully, there was no conflict and everyone decided to partake in a meal of tuna. (Coincidentally, I had a tuna sandwich for dinner.) On another note, saw a wren, a wooly bear caterpillar, a spotted towhee, and a chickadee while out walking today.

I’m a mother-in-law and I could go for some Boston cream pie today.

I haven’t tried real tuna with my two yet, but Smudge has shown a fondness for chicken, roast beef, and genoa salami.

Great idea, Lily, but that would be a very short book. Annie would have to add a lot of pictures.
