I mean it is.. look Dean didn’t get Heart’s theater stuff when he was 7, he likely never will and in this case I can’t say I don’t blame him. Someone had to tell her.
As for Heart playing Rosie.. i’m not enthused. Not because she got the part she wanted.. but because Rosie is Latina. Heart.. is not. I shoudln’t have to spell out why this is a problem. That being said, I WILL let it play out as the strip is highly inclusive, so I have high doubts this won’t go uncommented on. It also dosen’t speak too badly on heart as she tends to be oblvious at the best of times, outright admitting in the halloween party arc “I don’t pay attention to anyone”, and taking over a year in real time , and despite Kat spelling it out in big neon letters didn’t get the hint Kat was gay. So her not getting this might be mildly offensive at best isn’t exactly out of character.
When my parents came over to visit me in college, I walked over and waited by their car at their motel. When they came out, my very young sister saw me first and said, “You got a typewriter!” I can’t blame her. I didn’t like waiting for surprises when I was a kid, so she assumed no one else likes them either.
I kinda feel bad for Dean. He’s the only boy in this friend group, so he can’t relate to them as much as the rest of them could. For example, this situation. I personally don’t understand what the big deal of Dean telling her is, but I can sense some feminine hate towards Dean.

It is a good thing. They just don’t like that they had to hear it from a bad thing, Dean.

What play are they doing? I seem to have missed that part.
