That’s mighty big talk for such a tiny tortie. Tactically speaking, the best defense is a good offense, and Ora Zella is basically an improvised explosive device … who’s going to be brave enough to defuse her?
This is gently touching, with Puck understanding their a bit scared and need coaxing and being a good dad to his new feral daughter.
It’s also nice to see Puck get a turn at being head dad, i.e. the one who gets the most focus with the new kit, like Elvis did with Bea. Granted he and goldie sorta.. defaulted into being mom and dad as Elvis is being grumpy again and Lupin is being a pill about it for no good reason, but he’s still a natural and still what she needs.. a gentle calm touch.. while Goldie is the firm hand she needs to keep her from destroying us all.
I also can’t wait to see Iggy on his own as while the two are a double act (both in strip and in real life), his personality is kinda being overshadowed by his louder, more agressive sister. Not a complaint, as that seems to be wholly intentional, I just want to see more of my sweet precious boy.
Finally not really happy to see Elvis’ character backslide. A LARGE plot point with Goldie is he’d grown past being like this and i’m hoping we get a motivation for WHY he’s backslid (likely being protective of Bea who seems primed to call him out her dad on it) into unfair paranoia towards new kitties again.
Well, I finally did it. I went to Home Depot today and picked up a traffic cone (already had lights), so I am now the proud owner of a Tommybaum! It’s sitting on top of the washer right now until I find a good place for it.
And, Tommy was right! If I hadn’t put it together my self, I would never guess that it’s artificial!
Elvis is in true character, or at least his character for new or unfamiliar situations. He does have a soft spot for the ladies: the Girl and Bea, along with the Woman, come to mind. It will be interesting to see if it carries forward to OraZella.
Puck has the kindest soul. Perhaps as the foodie he can appeal to their stomachs. Also, I just noticed Bea being annoyed with Elvis in panel 1. She knows the right person for this job.
These two kittens remind me so much of Tabitha and Sir Fig. I think new boy kitty is really wanting to join the clowder, but like Sir. Fig, he is under the control of a super alpha tiny young female.
Every day I love Ora Z. more. She reminds me of the greatly beloved Ericka (pictured), Empress of Cats. Ericka took a lot of patience and time to completely understand that she was safe and in a good place, and then she became a very loving cat. Definitely worth the blood loss it took to get her there.

“I’m not ‘so young,’ I’m just unusually small. And I’m not scared!”
Not that anyone actually believes that, but that’s her story and she’s sticking to it.

Puck is safe from kitten wrath. How cute. Kittens are very blustery.

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Puckmosis: I understand you were the valedictorian of the first tumbling class Lupinium conducted.
Ora Zedd: That’s right. It’s when I first got the nickname The Z!
Puckmosis: Since you helped out Elvis-Anum and Wally, I wondered if you could help me.
Ora: Just ask and I’ll deliver.
Puckmosis: I know of four other friends who talk like that.
Ora: Really? Who?
In the background: We’ll never tell!

And OraZella’s comment in the last panel! I know understand why Georgia said she was the obvious choice for the Devil in her BCN Tarot!

Ora Zella’s going to flip out when the door is opened and it’s Dr. Man (and possibly Tommy’s Woman) on the other side! I hope they’re ready for her.
