That’s OK, we can fix that with the “late arrivals” and “missed postmarks” from the mail-in ballots.

The gamesters have laid out their plan of attack and have set up the ‘spike strips’ and ‘fake ballet’ routines to interfere with the right of citizens who want to go to the polls — an exercise one of the few rights left to us. This year for the first time we got mail-in ballots which was convenient, but we worry that we missed some small, not prominent item that will cancel them out, or that they will be ‘among the missing’ at the count. On the other hand, we have never known for sure that our written ballots or our voting machine votes actually reached the counter. So not much has changed except our trust in the system — most dangerous effect of all.

A good deal of comments in these reprints about the 1972 Presidential Election which led to the Watergate Scandal and the newly-reelected President resigning rather than face impeachment. Since then, President Clinton has been impeached and President Trump has been impeached twice. Presidents seem to be getting worse and worse.

You see it’s funny because in medieval times they knew the results of the election the day after voting day thereby rendering the polls obsolete.

I’ve always wondered why the king of Id would be concerned about an election where he is above election. Was the king like the Holy Roman Empire where their emperors could be elected (by Elector nobility, of course)…

Good one, and these strips are just in sync with our current cycle here.
