A bit of an overreaction on Cathy’s part, as usual. I’d never freak out if someone asked me that question. If he hadn’t asked if she is ready to go, she’d probably freak out that she still has 3 more things to do and why is he hurrying her? Or maybe she looks great but just wants to go to the bathroom one more time. Chill out, Cathy. Sure, he probably could have started off with, “You look beautiful!”, but she’d probably freak out over that too. (“What?? I don’t look perfect??”) Maybe while she’s fussing, you can put some leaves on your bandaid, Irving, to add to your “outdoorsy” vibe. ;-)

James Noury is right. Irving should have learned by now not to make ‘innocent’ remarks around our favourite nut-job. Ah well, maybe he is a slow learner.
