Mr Schorr, in case it’s helpful, my dad used “hanged if you do and hanged if you don’t.” He also used “Well I’ll be hanged.” My dad was if the generation where men did NOT swear in front of ladies or children. He had girls, so we were both.

Forget the whole ‘danged’ thing and go straight.

“Dang the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!”

Dang me!!

The great conundrum. Sometimes it just boils down to risk vs reward, or just the lesser of two evils.
