be back later – I need progressing
Progressing mankind, one sleep at the time. It’s a little sleep for mankind but a great relax for me :)
“Idleness is the mother of inspiration.”
And laziness is the father.
He’s found the only two trees on the planet. At least he’s not cutting them down.
Idle hands are the Devil’s workshop…
Inspiration is blowing in the breeze? And you gotta catch it with a few ZZZzzzzz?
I wonder then if sleepiness is the father of dreams and contemplation.
The Mothers of Invention might argue that point.
Schoolhouse Rock taught me it was Mother Necessity.
As the magician tells it, Keep your focus on idleness, right here, over here, while the real damage is done by necessity. Yip yip yip yip yip
“What are you doing?” Taking your saying to heart!
Progress may be bad; a person may ‘progress’ over a cliff to his death…
Idleness is a necessity? Idleness probably only gets you pet rocks and nft’s.
Sometimes stepping off for a short break can bring new perspective about a problem and maybe a new approach to the solution.
HAMMOCKING!!!!! YEAH!!!!! My favorite sport. . .
Swing low, sweet caveman…
I thought idleness was the devils workshop. I have friends that get in 8-10 hours of sleep each night, and 4-5 hours of sleep each afternoon. At least they’re not smoking while sleeping. Though they still go through a pack a day.
Could be a parallel between “Idleness is the mother of inspiration.”
and “Necessity is the mother of invention.”
Proverbs 13:4 “The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, But the soul of the diligent is made fat.”
Maybe we should think about regressing, away from the combustion engine
I’ve never heard it stated that way. I seriously doubt that.

Please, we have enough ‘progressives’.
This goes a long way in explaining the slow development of civilization.
When you attain perfection, improvement is impossible.
(That’s why I TRY to avoid perfection. So I can continue to improve.)
