Our strings run just about 7 to 8 feet off the ground and I’m really glad it isn’t higher. Coupla 30’ runs over the garage doors and a double run around our 6×6 front stoep and I’m done. Biggest effort is trying to straighten out the bent limbs on our artificial tree that is folded and packed in bags for storage. Lots of time there plus cleaning up the little plastic needles that seem to keep showing up right through summer.
But worth every minute for the memories and the laughter and hugs that it brings to our family each year.
We hope the same results for each of you and your families, whether you have an artificial tree or the real thing. And we also pray the coming year will be everything you wish it to be.
we live in a suburb of Milwaukee and during Covid our local police dept started doing Cruisin with Santa. They split the suburb into 4 sections and each section gets a small parade of Santa and a couple characters going up and down the streets for people to enjoy. Our neighborhood makes it into a block party in our driveway and our house does have all the lights and figurines lit and really does make it Christmas. We have hot cocoa and cookies and just have a good time with the neighbors and kids
