OMG I’m getting old!! I’ve forgotten which Boy Scout knot is the clove hitch!

(Never did master the bowline-on-a-bight. But I once successfully shortened an over-long window-shade pull-cord with a sheepshank! And every time I tie the drawstrings on my kitchen garbage bags I use the good old square knot. No granny knots on my garbage bags!)

Cut down a tree, I no longer wanted an gave to my brother’s family for Christmas. They came down to help me get it in my pickup and followed me to their house. They got out of the car laffing. Turns out birds were landing in the tree as I went down the highway! The kids found it hilarious.

Monty can’t tie down a Xmas tree properly on his vehicle, I wonder if he could tie down a pumpkin?

Reminds me of all those folorn mattresses by the side of the road. Seriously-what makes something think that, yeah, those OTHER people didn’t tie their mattresses down firmly on their car roof, but by golly I certainly did!

If you can’t tie good knots tie lots of them.

I wonder if the Peanuts gang is around to help.
