Must be one of those cave that don’t have a built in fireplace or two. When it gets cold just light it up for warmth. Then it becomes the flaming bush, who knows if it will speak. Yip yip yip yip yip
I had planned to put together the artificial tree, this year. But, there was a small cedar tree in the front yard. So, I got a battery powered set of 50 lights, with a single silver garland and now I have a live tree for this year. It’s beautiful.
Our 27 year old artificial pine is finally beginning to show bare frond tips. Been dropping needles every year. We clean them up, then find them all through the year in corners and under furniture. Like finding a good memory.
But, given its service over the years and the memories it has enhanced, I will continue to put it up every year I am able. It has held our family-made ornaments, and our little cross-eyed angel, the tiny angel choir, and all the little brass plaques we collected from different places. It is us.
