The BBC used to be known for the quality of their nature documentaries etc. Now they tell you the same thing at least 3 times per programme, often in the same exact words each time. I guess they figure the audience isn’t listening anyway.
Dunno which does the greater brain damage, 3 minute tv commercials that offer totally new sexual improvement process, an truly ugly bathroom remodel, or 30+ minutes on hold while trying to get through to a doctor. Whichever, it’s only gonna get worse.
We need to go back to the good old days, where the people of the tribe gathered around the fire while the wise woman told them what they needed to know in order to not be killed and eaten by animals.
.
I don’t know what you kids are on about these days with your “books”.

I have such a short attention span, it would take a miracle for me to pass social studies. Also… what was I talking about?

Now with social media posts that can be consumed at one per second, TV shows seem like long-form content by comparison!

Readable when first published. However, given the increase of short attention spans, likely too many words for audiences today. : )

Wow… Calvin has been on his ‘modern logic’ rant for days now. Hopefully, Hobbes can keep him grounded in reality.

Take a look at how long an image on TV is held on the screen during commercials. Pay particular attention to ads aimed at children.

calvin would hate today’s TV, 10 minutes of show, then 10 minutes of ads.
she asks ‘’what are you watching?’’
me ‘’not sure, might be a cowboy or a cop show, can’t remember.’’
me ‘’ oh look, the marx brothers.’’
