This image as here presented is so darkened and obscure, that I had to search for it on the Internet in order to see things more clearly. The following is a link that explains a controversy concerning who painted the foreground characters.
“Please purchase this painting, Sir. I am behind on this week’s rent for the studio, and the Landlord has refused to advance me new candles!” And then Thomas Walker tripped on the rug …
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been pretty interested in testing the capabilities of this new chatbot everyone’s talking about, ChatGPT. After about a week of fooling around with it, I’ve assembled some of the funniest/craziest results I’ve gotten from it and put them in a Kindle ebook I’ve titled “ChatGPT Said What?!!”
If you’re interested in checking it out, it’ll set you back a cool $2.99. But if that’s not a dealbreaker, here’s the Amazon link: bit.ly/3PrOMCR
In the meantime, keep your eye on this thing. It’s pretty amazing.
(syntax supported by the Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, and Yandex search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and choose the first Category: found, and once there find the text string Walker, and click its link for info and links that point to more info about this roughly jumbo envelope size painting.
Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #3045 (December 16, 2022) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger if you trim what’s after .png from the URL). I have added a comment there pointing to info about this artist I used to point to here. First work by this artist used here.
Sorry for the repetition, but since I put the song link under Solstice’s comment, I’m going to repeat it here in the “general public” for those who might not have seen it earlier.
(There’s a small painting in the background which looks like the picture of a burning church on the wall in the hidden passage between those two apartments in the Branford,)

Yes, this is a beautiful rendition of the battle. But why are you painting our ship as losing?

It’s a nautical battle scene/
But the details can scarcely be seen./
Is the studio dim/

Or the canvas supremely unclean ?

If you’re getting queasy sir, it may not be the painting but rather the fact that the floor seems to be quite off kilter.
