I’m pretty sure that’d still be too close to the excavating area for the liking of the paleontologists, realistically speaking…but, you know, comic logic and all that.
The thing that gets me about it is how the pipe goes out of the way to arc around the mastodon’s tusks when it really wouldn’t need to. :P
