Oh c’mon, farmers—I was once given a bag of potatoes that had been almost literally just harvested from the ground, not even washed, and they had way less dirt on them than this, so what’s your excuse, eh?
At least it is only dirt. I used to buy eggs directly from the farm, sometimes before they were washed.
