Scratch really needs to go!

I thought these strips were new. The copyright notice says 2023, but that’s an ancient looking tape recorder i the last panel.

Now you’ve done it, Chip. All the “Scratch-Haters” are going to come crawling out of the woodwork. This should be interesting.

Dogs have owners, Cats have staff.

I am a cat lover and I have raised 2 cats to the ripe old ages of 19 and 20, but Scratch has stretched my last nerve!!

Scratch adds nothing…..he is mean, ugly. We are not cat haters but this is a horrible “thing.”

I buy Tidy Cat Multi-cat litter. When I clean my catg’s litter box everything is clumped and doesn’t smell. I don’t get the hatred of litter boxes.

I think all the Scratch haters are just jealous of him!! Chip makes sure we never know what to expect from Scratch!!

Why clean it, just leave it and nail the door shut!

Darn it! He can’t scratch Scatch off of his list.

Scratch is dressed like Nate usually is.

Every time I clean the litter boxes I ask for volunteers to do the job for me

A couple of them do like to christen the fresh litter, within moments of the bag going out to the trash

Actually, this sums up cats quite nicely…bless their furry little hearts…

If people would clean litter boxes more frequently, there wouldn’t be a smell. Twice a day it the standard, but if something goes in and I’m here and can smell it, I clean it right then. We’ve tried all of the major brands and have found a great one in the Paws and Claws from Tractor Supply. No odor or dust when you pour it in. Bonus – it’s a LOT less expensive than name brands. They just put our a lightweight version that has very fine particles. I don’t like it though.

To all the Scratch haters: the ship has mice running all over the ship. Cute in the strip. Horrifying in real life. I love what Scratch adds. Prevents the strip from sinking into cutesy boredom. The old strips were very different and way funny. I have had mice as pets. Very sweet and smart. With silky fur. But wild ones running around in my house? No.

Scratch has his own bedroom? I always assumed, as the cat from the enemy ship, he curled up on a piece of deck for sleep. What’s Henry running here, a pirate or cruise ship?

Litter Robot. Five cats and 3 of these. And two regular old fashioneds for emergency use. No mess, no fuss, no problems.

Cats don’t clean litter. We do.
