In my case I’m often the winning (or only) bid down to the last two seconds, literally, and then get skunked by some %#@&* with an automatic bidding bot who beats me by a dollar too late for me to bid again. I don’t think bots are fair bidding. But I do have the sense not to bid up to the sky.
