Blame the company’s bean counters. If the product doesn’t sell to their satisfaction, no matter how much YOU think they’re good, it gets the axe. They also pull popular items to promote and push other stuff that aren’t selling as well, or so it seems.
Personally, I’m just finding it funny she’s complaining to the store that didn’t have any say in whether or not the product is discontinued or not—they just sell whatever the manufacturers distribute to them.
It’s such a common problem, not merely with TJ’s, but Costco too. Not merely prepared foods, but basic items. Safeway tends to have a slower rotation of its products than do TJ’s and Costco.
The GF mentioned taquitos. I looked for it, can’t find it anywhere in Winnipeg. Apparently discontinued. However, on the Walmart taquito page after Out of Stock, it says Shoppers Also Considered: Adult multivitamins, antiperspirant and a quilt. No thanks, not on the menu.
At the Kroger store I go to they move all the merchandise at least twice a year. Probably just to keep the employees busy and to make sure the customers are adequately confused.
Home delivery services aren’t any better. Been a customer of the yellow trucks with the white bird on the side for years and generally when I find a favorite, they discontinue it. Bring back the individual meat loaf slices and the cinnamon raisin biscuits, cherry nut ice-cream….

Taquitos can be made at home, in that part of the house sometimes known as “a kitchen”…
She might want to try this revolutionary method of feeding her family, once in a while, it quite often “works a treat”…

Doubt the kids would eat any of those dishes, especially since Carly is suppose to be a very fussy eater.

Tell me about it! When TJ’s gets something I like, I buy in bulk.
