It’s a wonder so many continue reading this when they don’t get the joke. Is there a on-the-cheap therapy clinic using this to “validate your feelings”? Happy trails!
I get the joke — she was annoyed by the loud music, then by the humming and tapping, and finally by his breathing (which apparently he’s doing downstairs). What I don’t get is his speech in panel 1, “. . . since I won’t be able to hear what I’m doing, I won’t hum or tap.” He won’t be able to hear what he’s doing? It makes no sense.

I wonder if the gal who defended Betty being a “B” (rhymes with “witch”), yesterday, still wants to keep defending her.
