Luann has looked really cute in all three of these outfits so far. Lighten up, Frank!

Frank would have simply said “Return, Next!” if he knew how much those Doc Martens cost!

Probably the reason why I never followed fashion, it really didn’t make sense to me and still doesn’t. I just wear stuff I like and that looks good on me. Saves a lot of money as well as I don’t need to shop for a new outfit every season.

This is the best so far for middle school. Covered up, but funky. --Side note: I was the first one in my middle school to wear a maxi skirt…and also a midi skirt. I was a trend setter! Now? I’m boring…I live in black leggings and black or gray tops.

When I was a teen, my mother would mock my wearing a frilly blouse with jeans. (This was in a time long, long ago when jeans were not fashionable.)

Maybe it’s because I wore real combat boots while in the military, but I think Dr Martens are just plain tacky with dresses of any kind. Fashionable or not, they are anything but cute.

Thru reader contests, fashion shows and arcs like this, the author gets to visually play around with the characters. I think that’s a fun thing to do.

Being a normal working class guy all my life, even when a teenager, I never cared for latest fads or trends in clothing, hair, jewelry, etc. When I turned 18 I let my hair grow out for a few years while attending college, more for rebellion against the parents than anything, but I could grow a natural afro no problem and that was in style at the time (early 80’s) After college it just was not practical so I went back to the short style “Dirty Harry” look which was easy to have cut and comb. Been that way since. Anyway, as far as clothes, I was always blue jeans or work slacks like Dickies and T-shirt, even in High School. Oh, on some dates or events I’d go to slacks and a nice collared shirt but nothing fancy. Anyway, point being I didn’t care about fashion at all, and to be honest its never impacted my social life in any capacity. And I NEVER had a problem getting a date.

Consider that there is no sense in YOU, Frank. After all, money is supposed to be spent and invested, not hoarded and worshipped like you do!
