pink and kuddly, after a tomatoey kerfuffley? reminds me of the persian I adopted. she had been stuck in a nightmare bunch of nettles or some such. they had to shear her to get her clear of it. so she came to me skin and bones with a fluffy head. but oh how she blossomed as we fattened her up and her coat came in!

I’m so freaking happy this carried over. If your curious why I thought it might not, most strips try to have the sundays be one off as some papers still cary only one or the other. Granted I figured it was more than likely as these days writers care less about that , especially with newer strips as it’s likely the older readers still getting comics in paper aren’t going to care that much about wether a new strip makes sense, but I thought you deserved to know why they recapped this at all.

Second i’m delighed for his adventures, Sophie’s weird intrest in it, and how well it fits him. I also like that even a one off sunday strip can lead to a brief status quo change.

Is Sophie is tickled pink by Lupin’s new look?

Has Georgia said whether this was based on an actual incident where the real Lupin broke a jar of tomato sauce and got it all over him?

I’ve been seeing this strip so long online in color, it’s hard to imagine that some people seeing it in black & white. Kinda like monochrome monitors (remember those?), or non-HDTV

I was attacked by a jar of tomato sauce! It jumped me when I wasn’t looking!

I have decided to rename Lupin, Bubblegum! ; )

Well, at least NOW Lupin can’t run around nekkid :)

Lupin’s use of the passive voice and those indignant eyelids distance him from the from the so-called kerfuffle, but regular viewers know the truth!

I was just reading more comments from yesterday. To the person who had to clean up cooking oil: OMC! That must have been worse than pickle juice!To the one who found a kitty in the cabinet: Been there, done that. I keep thinking about putting little magnets on the cabinets but then they wouldn’t close property.

Called it! Glad to see Tommy and Sophie are so supportive of the new coloration. Hard to say how Burt feels, but he is definitely not putting effort into fully conveying Lupin’s pinkness.

Pink and fluffy, my friend’s cat got into some shampoo and was pink for weeks lol.

Maybe he can borrow Tommy’s Hawaiian shirt to compliment his new color. Or his pink flamingo pj’s. Except they’d be way too big, dang.

Looks more tomato red than pink. Especially in that first panel. Looked more pink in the Sunday strip. Do we have some Italian holiday coming up and not that faux holiday on the 14th?
