I asked my parish priest if giving up conjugal visits with my wife would be a proper lenten sacrifice. He said at my age it didn’t qualify.

Lent could be a time for some to recommit themselves to a strive for what they had resolved to do on New Year’s Day.

As a kid I didn’t know the difference between Lent and lint. (Come to think of it, I’m not sure if I ever figured it out.)

All very insulting and judgmental comments…..Ask yourself: “would I say this to a person; perhaps even a Catholic?”

Times up….your presumed answers: “yeah I’d tell those fish mongers of….Storm the bastille.”

Why do you people feel the need to be nasty? Go to the editorial cartoons.

Madeleine L‘Engle said that if something is worthy of giving it up for Lent, then it should just be given up permanently. And if it is not worth giving up, it’s not worth it for Lent.
