We hunted Racoons at night with probably 20 dogs way back in the day. What a fuss. Racoons could cuts your dogs all to pieces so you had to stay close by them unless they treed them.
Some of splendid specimens of FoXo’s fabulously fine artwork in above strips. Just look at all those trees placements, grass, shading and characters and other elements, all coming together to bring to a life a glorious three dimensional depthful scenes, and in 1st one, smart shading work depicting evening/ night time darkness and torch beam putting light. Except for the dotted gray tone (me forget what it be called) every detail drawn by hand by FoXo himself. Also, he ink it by pen which is more difficult to master. Undoubtedly FoXo was one of the finest cartoonist, and a most rare combination of humourous wits as well drawing or artwork skills, which is rarely seen together in the same cartoonist.
1. Shhh. Be vevvy vevvy qviet. Me hunts for a wascally Bozo. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! (Must be Bozo season eh).
2. Decoy distractions.
3. You may be cute Bozo but you is no pet!
…
For those who come in late, these fabulous fun funnies was envisioned and executed so brilliantly by FoXo Reardon, a true master cartoonist who told his funny tales with his awesome artwork alone, without any of his characters in BOZO ever saying a single word.
An especially excellent epitome of pictures speaking thousand words, BOZO also the most pleasant picturesque pantomime where every panel is like a photograph of a three-dimensional cartoon world of realistic-looking depths and details. Such was his powerful perspective artwork which brought to life a lovely lively world of BOZO!
FoXo a rare combination of both sharp wits and artistic talents which is rarely seen together in the same cartoonist, a true master and professional cartoonist whose work quality speaks for itself and as you can see for yourself BOZO is pure gold coming from a golden era of cartooning! More about FoXo and BOZO in the About page.
So no wonder that these wonderful wordless wonders still bring great joy and sheer cheer to many even today.
But despite being a great classic of great creative calibre, neither BOZO nor FoXo are much known or remembered these days.
Spread the word, friends, so that BOZO can spread more joy and cheer to many many more!
…
And yes, yes of course another big thumbs up, big applause, and three cheers once again for the marvellous master FoXo’s magnificent masterpiece, the most pleasant picturesque pantomime, the ever entertaining ever energetic ever enjoyable ever excellent evergreen entertainer, the brilliantly beautiful and beautifully brilliant BOZO!
And yes of course many thanks to Micheal Reardon for bringing BOZO back for us all!
“Honest Mistake” is the first time I have seen Bozann’s name spelled out in the strip itself, rather than in these Comments. And yet, for the gag to work, (Bozo enters hoping to “pet” with the beautiful blonde we all know), the readers had to know who the name refers to. So I guess she must have been identified by name previously and I just haven’t seen it yet.
#3-Honest Mistake- oh, i wish we had fuzzyvision…must be quite the scene! -p.s. strip #3 Bozo enters the store with hearts, and leaves the store with stars.
1) BOZANN’S HUNT: Bozann is a huntress and animal lover. She has 2-dogs she uses to tree her prey. Tonight, it is Bozo!
2) WILD NOISES: Bozo looking for turkey in the wild. When another hunter comes out from the tall grass that man is making the animal sound Bozo was using to find a turkey!
3) BOZANN’S PET SHOP: Bozo goes to see Bozann at her pet shop and finds he isn’t wanted there!
HUNTED-In my area of the South we have a racoon hunting “Good Ole Boys (and Ladies.)” Most love to just let their dogs out chase the varmint and tree him. Some actually shoot the varmint. The great Jerry Clower had a story of his Uncle, his dog and the racoon getting trapped in the tree…..famous line from his Uncle "SHOOT AMONGST US….ONE OF US GOT TO HAVE RELIEF! CALL OF THE WILD- There is a talent to calling a turkey. Seems like Bozo & Friend have done called each other into a “bromance.” HONEST MISTAKE- I Bozann has not got over the VARMINT (Bozo) {being treed}. Guess Bozann wanted to sell Racoon Skin Caps….Like Good Ole Davy Crocket.

(1) I hope they were just playing a little game.
(2) Fortunate that they both appear to be responsible hunters, who think before they shoot.
(3) He seems to have misinterpreted what one does in a “Pet Shop” (maybe that had something to do with who the owner is).

Bozo must still be upset about the incident at “Bozann’s Pet Shop” and took today off.
