Actually this was a year before Coyote and Roadrunner first appear.

For those who come in late, these fabulous fun funnies was envisioned and executed so beautifully and brilliantly by FoXo Reardon, a true master cartoonist who told his funny tales with his awesome artwork alone, without any of his characters in BOZO ever saying a single word.

An especially excellent epitome of pictures speaking thousand words, BOZO also the most pleasant picturesque pantomime where every panel is like a photograph of a three-dimensional cartoon world of realistic-looking depths and details. Such was his powerful perspective artwork which brought to life a lovely lively world of BOZO!

FoXo a rare combination of both sharp wits and artistic talents which is rarely seen together in the same cartoonist, a true master and professional cartoonist whose work quality speaks for itself and as you can see for yourself BOZO is pure gold coming from a golden era of cartooning!

So no wonder that these wonderful wordless wonders still bring great joy and sheer cheer to many even today.

But despite being a great classic of great creative calibre, neither BOZO nor FoXo are much known or remembered these days.

Who here is old enough to remember hardware stores that had a light bulb display that incorporated an active bulb socket such that a customer could test any bulb they were about to buy? The socket had smooth sides (with no screw threads) and one could simply push a bulb into it to see if it lit up. Even as a young kid of 9 or 10 I knew how potentially dangerous that was, and even though I had a curious temptation to stick a finger in it, I never did. Eventually, those bulb testers started to disappear, perhaps because of casualties I never heard about, but still for good reason.

“Bad bulb” – The action and look on Bozo’s face when he stuck his finger in the socket is hilarious !

1. Bozo needs good light to read. He likes the Funny Hound. Seeks illumination and then makes an awful sound.

2. Bozo needs some leverage. The boulder’s twice his size. Things do take an ugly turn. He gives up on the prize.

3. Violent land acquisition ends in the right position.

1) Bozo is shocked at how badly that went.

2) If Bozo can’t move the rock, the rock will move to Bozo, whether he wants it to or not.

3) Bozo carries the other team on his back and still comes out on top.

BAD BULB- As James Bond said in Goldfinger, “SHOCKING ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!” WRONG WAY- Well we have seen out Mighty Mite Hero move hefty women and men, this bolder does seem to be a “Rocky Situation!” TEAM WORK- This seems to be Bozo’s trademark as a Running Back, sometimes ball goes over the endzone, today Bozo just seems to be looking for a better view. (A 3 panel Fuzzy Day!"

When I was just a lad (1940’s/50’s) all farmers were jack of all trades. No volt meters/testers. They actually wet finger with tongue and stuck in socket to find out if hot. It gave a good bite they said. All was 110 then. No 220 wiring for us until the 1960’s for stoves/dryers. Life was hard. I remember getting electric lights when I was 5. Running water at 14. No matter what I’ve got – I’ve been blessed all my life. And Bozo just makes it better folks. And Fuzzy pulled another triple daily.

1) NEVER DO THAT: Bozo did it, he met the higher power that runs at 60 cycles per Tesla’s want.

2) IMPOSSIBLE PROBLEM: Bozo’s plan and physics look right but the boulder’s geometry turned it into a shocking opposite reaction action.

3) SQUEEZE OUT PLAY: In football Bozo knows how to get out of a pile on.
