When my parents were children (in the 1950’s), they had iceboxes instead of electric refrigerators. Ice was collected in the winter and stored in buildings, then delivered door to door like that for people to use in the iceboxes. (My grandfather kept his old icebox in his basement, maybe he thought he would need it again!)
For those who come in late, these fabulous fun funnies was envisioned and executed so beautifully and brilliantly by FoXo Reardon, a true master cartoonist who told his funny tales with his awesome artwork alone, without any of his characters in BOZO ever saying a single word.
An especially excellent epitome of pictures speaking thousand words, BOZO also the most pleasant picturesque pantomime where every panel is like a photograph of a three-dimensional cartoon world of realistic-looking depths and details. Such was his powerful perspective artwork which brought to life a lovely lively world of BOZO!
FoXo a rare combination of both sharp wits and artistic talents which is rarely seen together in the same cartoonist, a true master and professional cartoonist whose work quality speaks for itself and as you can see for yourself BOZO is pure gold coming from a golden era of cartooning!
BOZO is pure gold coming from a golden era of cartooning! More about FoXo and BOZO in the About page.
So no wonder that these wonderful wordless wonders still bring great joy and sheer cheer to many even today.
But despite being a great classic of great creative calibre, neither BOZO nor FoXo are much known or remembered these days.
Spread the word, friends, so that BOZO can spread more joy and cheer to many many more!
…
And of course another big thumbs up, big applause, and three cheers once again for the marvellous master FoXo’s magnificent masterpiece, the most pleasant picturesque pantomime, the ever entertaining ever energetic ever enjoyable ever excellent evergreen entertainer, the brilliantly beautiful and beautifully brilliant BOZO!
…
And yes of course many thankses to Micheal Reardon for bringing BOZO back for us all!
“Chicken hearted” – LOL ! I don’t know why but this one just cracked me up . Must be the looks on everybody’s faces in the last panel . You can “read” whatever you want into it .
Yep we had icebox and bought ice twice a week. I still have our old ice tongs and Coke Cola ice pick. Those were the days. As farmers we had fresh foods all the time. Both myself and my late wife were raised as farmers, We had survival skills. She ran her own seamstress biz (taught by her mom) and we raised majority our own garden foods/ all kinds fruit trees for canning jams/jelly and berries for jams/jelly. We gave up raising beef/hogs and just bought one to butcher when needed. Loved the old ways.

WHO’S WHO- Sometimes I feel like I need a list of WHO IS WHO. I wonder with all the blonde females if on of them is Bozzan, now a baby that I guess is being baby sat, by our Hero and his girlfriend. ICE CUBES- Sorry I got lost with Fuzzy sailing of the Neiborhood Shed. Maybe that is where the Ice Blocks should have gone. CHICKEN HEARTED- Is almost Chicken Heated, Bozzan has this beautiful bird with all sorts of food ready to serve and Bozo and Ole Buttons not even waiting to say GRACE!

2. That’s an icy situation, for both Bozo and Umbrella Guy.
3. Would this be considered a bribe?

No iceman would leave a delivery on the steps, but put it in the icebox straight away……….unless the icemen were Laurel and Hardy or the Three Stooges

Not sure what Bozo did wrong in no.1, but Bozann is not happy with him and believes the baby. Apparently, no one is happy in the highchair.

1) C’mon, I’m not a baby anymore, I’m a big kid now!
2) Bozo plays the long game in order to put ice in his drink!
3) Bozann’s mad because Bozo didn’t tell her he was bringing a friend for dinner!

I notice that Bozo isn’t the only one that Foxo liked to draw with patches that don’t match on their britches!

You should be PROUD ! Rick James is a legend .
Wasn’t into his tunes. Cory Wells of 3 Dog Night was from Buffalo too and their tunes I do like.
