    Newsflash, folks: pretty much every plant and animal eaten by humans has been genetically modified through centuries or millennia of selective breeding and other means. If modern agriculture scientists are using methods that are more scalpel and less chainsaw, I say that’s all to the good.

    Modified why and how? I would expect Houyhnhnm’s genetic engineering of food plants is better than ours. Their cars are carbon neutral.
