When is trash pickup day? Unless they have one of those picky HOAs, just sort out what is a keep, what is a donate, and what is actual trash and neatly pile up the actual trash at the curb.
I just read a column titled “The one thing your children want from you before you die”. I’ll give you a hint, it’s not any of that stuff. It is actually NONE of that stuff!
Our rule is that the car has to fit in the garage and we need to be able to open both doors. The garage was built for the car and the car will NOT be squeezed out!
When we were planning on selling the house and moving to a much smaller domicile we gathered all the things we had in storage and took them to a storage facility and put them in a rental unit. You don’t want your house to look cluttered during showings. Everything had a label attached by a string. If we needed an item, we removed the label. After we moved, we went through our unit and every item that still had a tag we either gave away, sold or trashed. It’s amazing how much junk you carry around with you in life.

Darryl maybe some of that stuff can be thrown away. The rest just stack it back in the garage as neat as possible.

Quick, put it back before someone makes an offer for that junk.

That was a waste of time.

Notice the old Yellow fridge in the background. We still have our 70’s “Harvest Gold” fridge. They don’t make them to last like that any more.

Time for the annual Spring Shuffle. Personally if I don’t use something for a year, I toss it or donate it.

Time to buy a shed.

I got everything stack along the walls so there is room for the Jeep. Lots of robberies and feel safer if it’s in the garage.

If you haven’t opened the box in a year or used an item in the past six months, you don’t need it. thrown it out say the de-clutter people.
Unfortunately, Murphy gets involved and about two days later, I need what I just threw out. Buy a new one and it sits for a couple years.

Burglar problem solved, leave the stuff out over night. The burglars will be happy and you will have less to put back in the garage. Win for everyone.

Go buy a prefab shed for the back yard. Toss what you don’t want to carry back to it.

Yup, that’s what I did yesterday…

Why don’t you get a boat and a pop up trailer you never use and stick them in the yard?
ladykat over 1 year ago
Go through the stuff before you put it back in the garage and discard anything broken or that you don’t use any more.

$40,000 car sits in the weather so $400 worth of junk stays in the garage.

Garages no longer hold cars, just junk.
